After a temporary halt in production of one of the two vaccines against Newcastle disease authorized and marketed in Belgium for the pigeon, the Belgian market was not being supplied correctly. The company Intervet which markets the other vaccine has increased its production and will put on the Belgian market within a few days a batch of NOBILIS PARAMYXO P201 (480 vials of 200 doses). The Veterinary and Agrochemical Research Centre (VAR), which is the reference laboratory for immunological veterinary products, has in fact given its approval to release this batch on 17 March 2009. Normally, another batch of a larger number of doses of this vaccine will soon be available.
