Certificates for Good Manufacturing Practice or Good Distribution Practice can be queried in the EudraGMDP database. The FAMHP will no longer automatically provide paper versions of these certificates, only upon request.
A certificate of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) or Good Distribution Practices (GDP) will be issued after a positive inspection of respectively the manufacturer or distributor of medicines.
These certificates are then added to the EudraGMDP database. This database makes it possible to share information between the competent national authorities in Europe and the public. Only the competent authorities can upload certificates so that the information is guaranteed to be authentic and valid.
The FAMHP will no longer automatically issue paper GMP or GDP certificates. Certificate holders can request paper versions, if they wish, via this request procedure.
