Good Distribution Practice

In order to maintain a high level of quality throughout the distribution network and supply chain for medical devices, guidelines on Good Distribution Practice for distributors of medical devices have been developed in consultation with professional associations.

This guide applies to all distributors of medical devices, including active implantable medical devices and in vitro diagnostic medical devices.

Since pharmacists must follow Appendix 1 "Guide on Good Pharmacy Practice" of the Royal Decree of 21 January 2009 concerning instructions for pharmacists, their activities already conform to the guidelines for distributors of medical devices.
